Have you ever created a theme for the year? I know that many of you set goals or have resolutions for the year, but what about a theme? Your theme represents all that you want 2013 to bring into your life, and all that you hope to see happen this year.
I chose my theme back in December of 2012, and every time I think about it, I get chills, because I truly believe that it represents what I will experience this year, personally, and professionally. My theme is:
“The Year Of Abundance”
This theme truly aligns with my expectations for this upcoming year, and helps me to keep my focus on the abundant blessings that I already have in my life, and sets me up to experience more of God’s blessings and miracles in 2013.
We all start the year off full of enthusiasm and hope, but as life starts to take over, that enthusiasm begins to dwindle. Don’t let that happen to you this year! No matter what your situation is or what your circumstances look like, know that God has a plan and purpose for your life, so you don’t have to get discouraged. I know that this is easier said than done, but it is definitely possible.
I had a pretty bumpy start to the year. We had a death in the family the day after Christmas, then my mom was in the hospital soon thereafter, and there was a lot going on with the family at the end of the year, which carried over into the first couple of weeks of the year. But I’m finally getting back into the groove of things, and I’m ready to get to work, and start working towards my goals for 2013, and help you reach yours as well.
As you know, this blog is all about providing you with the inspiration you need to be motivated every day, and offering you valuable tips on how to increase your brand’s influence and income, using social media marketing, online branding, and personal development.
So, to start the year off, I want to help you get motivated and empowered to have your best year ever! This will be a year of incredible abundance for you if you are willing to try new things, embrace challenges, and recognize the opportunities that are ready to be birthed within you.I’ve created some affirmations for you in our new, inspirational photo album on Facebook. You can check it out here. I also want to share three simple tips to help you get 2013 started on the right foot.
1. Keep It Simple. One small, positive change, done consistently, can have a huge impact.
2. Don’t Make Excuses. Decide that you will work towards your goals, even when you don’t feel like it. Make it a habit.
3. Celebrate Your Progress & Small Victories Along The Way. Those seemingly insignificant steps in the right direction, are actually what bring you directly to your goal.
Do you have a theme for the year 2013? If you had to choose one, what would it be? Post your theme for the year in the comments below, and let me know what that theme represents for you.
