It is extremely important to me to empower dance professionals with ways to build wealth and financial stability for themselves, and be successful in their careers. It’s so important to me because, I am you. I have struggled to survive in this industry just like many of you have, and anytime I see an opportunity for me to help my fellow dancers to earn more money, get access to more jobs, or build wealth and success for your own life and career, I’m all over it! So that’s why I’m writing this particular blog series on how you can build wealth and financial stability for yourself, outside of working the regular dance or teaching gigs, or a 9 to 5 job. As I learn new things, I will continue to share them with you, because as far as I’m concerned, your success is my success, and my success, is yours. The stronger we are individually in the dance community, the stronger we will be as a whole community.

Today, I’d like to share another great way to build wealth while pursuing and enjoying your dance career. Please note that all of my suggestions during this series are things that I’ve either already done successfully, or am currently doing, so I am sharing with you from my own real-life experiences.

Create A Membership Site or Social Network

Membership sites and social networks have become so common these days, they are literally, everywhere you turn! But there’s a good reason for this. These types of sites build communities of people all centered around and interested in one common topic or theme. There’s power in numbers, and even more power in an active online community of people who have a genuine and vested interest in a particular topic or issue. As we’ve seen with Facebook, most notably, there are unlimited possibilities within the world of social networks. I mean, who would’ve ever though that a social network would lead to the creation of not just a movie, but a box office hit! You may be thinking that, I’m a dancer, I don’t have the resources or know-how to create my own social network or membership site. Well, I have great news for you…you actually do!

There are many sites online nowadays that are already set up and waiting for you to simply open an account, and begin creating your own social network or membership site. These sites are so user-friendly that, if you know how to compose and send an e-mail, upload a photo or video, and copy and paste some text, you are all set! I will speak more in depth about maximizing your custom social network in a post later on in this series, so stay tuned.

The way that you will be able to build wealth through a social network or membership site is through:

– Paid Advertisers.
– Affiliate Programs.
– Google Adwords.
– Selling your own products to these targeted members of your site.
– Hosting events for your members (live or online).
– Monthly membership fees.
