The Top 5 Most Powerful Ways For Dancers To Build Wealth – Part 4

In the fourth installment of this series, we touch on a way to build wealth that wasn’t even possible 10 years ago for dancers, or anyone else for that matter. But thanks to the internet and social media, it is definitely a viable option, and many people are making money online through this method.

Dancer’s Wealth Building Tip #4:

Become a Professional Blogger

Initial Investment: $0 – $50

Blogging is the hottest not-so-new thing, next to social media, and can be a great way to build your brand, create and sell a product, and build your own social network or membership site. All of these methods will help you create the wealth that you so desire, outside of your career as a dance performer or teacher.

Although blogging can be a great way to build wealth through affiliate programs, paid advertisers, and the other items listed above, it can be very tricky.

In order to be a successful blogger, and build wealth for yourself, long-term, you must:

– Provide Great, Useful Content.
– Post Consistently.
– Create a community.

This may sound simple, but it’s not exactly a quick and easy formula that brings automatic results within a predictable amount of time. It’s something that you have to really be committed to over time.

I would also add that blogging shouldn’t be something you get into solely for the purpose of making a quick buck, because it definitely doesn’t work that way.

You should first have a passion for writing, and have fairly good writing skills. If you don’t have a passion for blogging, there’s a good chance that you’ll get burnt out fairly quickly, as creating good and consistent content is no easy task.

The most popular blogging platform out there (which I also use), is WordPress.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely free, and offer an amazing amount of options and functionality that are absolutely necessary in order to create your own blog, and become a successful blogger. WordPress.com is hosted by WordPress, and offers you tons of great templates to use, and widgets that you can use to integrate it into your social media pages very easily. There are some limitations, which is why other people choose to go with WordPress.org (I started out with WordPress.com then later switched over to WordPress.org). WordPress.org is self-hosted, which means that you own your blog, just like you own your website, because it is hosted on a server of your choosing, not by WordPress. WordPress.org has thousands of themes for you to choose from, as well as an infinite amount of cool plug-ins (similar to widgets) that allow you to do everything that you can imagine from have affiliate links, Google Adsense, banner ads, and other advertisements, online communities, sell products, and so much more! If you’re serious about blogging, and want to ultimately create wealth from your blog, then WordPress.org is the way to go, period.

Becoming a highly successful, professional blogger, is no easy task, and definitely more of a marathon, than a sprint.

After a year and 7 mos. of blogging, I’m still figuring out what works best, and what makes the most sense for my blog, and I definitely haven’t reached the level of success that I hope to reach one day. But the great thing is that, I’m enjoying the journey.

I absolutely love writing, as much as I love to dance. My blog is like my baby, and you (my readers), are like my friends and family. Together we are creating something great, that will have a positive impact on the dance world (and beyond, I hope). So, even as I learn, and you learn about what it takes to become a successful blogger, and eventually create wealth through your blog, we can enjoy every minute of an experience that is very rewarding along the way.
