The #1 Thing You Need To Take Your Biz or Brand To the Next Level

I recently posed the question on Facebook, “What is the one thing you need to take your business to the next level (besides money)?” The answers to this question were very diverse, but all legitimate and understandable answers. Here are a few of the answers that were posted:

“A compelling, passionate and unforgettable “elevator speech”. Being a walking billboard and networking is free!”

“A place to do it!”

“Better marketing materials! I’ve got to create more compelling language and better utilize photos and videos. Gotta kick it up two notches!”

“More manpower. More people to spread some of the work around, and really build our brand with a little more power and a lot more speed.”

How would you answer this question? Do you know what that one thing is that could catapult your business from where it is today, to where you want it to be? How do you know that one thing will make such a significant difference?

No matter what that one thing is, it seems to me that, it’s probably something that is attainable, and within your reach right now. This means that you should have an action plan in place to help you to acquire that “thing” within the next 30-90 days. Even if you can’t get it in its entirety within three mos., you’ll sure be a lot closer to it. Then, it’s just a matter of taking those last few steps to make it yours.

Here are some questions that you can ask yourself to help you to figure out how you might go about bringing that very important “thing” into your business and brand:

1. Is it something that I can acquire through practice? If I work on this thing, for a certain amount of time, everyday, will I be able to have/master it?

2. Do I know someone else who has it? Is there a way for me to get access to it through their resources, or through bartering?

3. What has prevented me from getting this “thing” thus far? Are there simple changes or adjustments that I can make in my personal or business life, that will make it easier to attain?

4. Are there networking events, or people within my circle that I can tap into to bring me closer to it?

The purpose of this blog post is to remind you that, it’s super important to ask yourself these types of questions, and then answer them. Once you determine what you need, why it’s important, and what action steps you should take to get it, the rest is history. Then that “thing” that seemed so impossible before, is suddenly within your reach, and not so unattainable after all.
