Dance/NYC is the New York branch office of Dance/USA, the national service organization for professional dance. Dance/NYC serves the dance community and its policymakers and funders through advocacy and research. The organization acts as a spokesperson on behalf of the field to the media, to the non-profit sector, to local and state government, and to the field itself. Dance/NYC serves the public with information that increases access to dance programs and institutions. It serves the field by building new audiences, promoting tourism and education, and fostering community dialogue. DanceNYC.org offers dynamic information about dance activity and a collaborative marketing platform for the field.
Boysdancetoo.com opened on Thanksgiving of 2010. The store stands alone as the only comprehensive, well stocked, US web-store dedicated solely to men’s and boy’s dancewear. It’s owners, veteran retail director and dancer Michael Colucci and Professional dancer and dancewear expert, Sarah Singer, are out to dissolve the tension and stigma attached to men who dance.
Boysdancetoo.com acts as just a store for now, however Mr. Colucci and Miss Singer are working diligently to create more than the best men’s and boy’s dancewear store in the world. Boysdancetoo. is an online e-commerce store, a statement, and the birth of a new culture for male dancers.
