Offering Diaper Dance to Adult Dance and Zumba Fitness!

Rhonda’s FooteWorks has been in operation since 1987 in Northern New York.  According to Rhonda, they have “danced” through many challenges over the years. A special thanks to Rhonda for being the first one to submit her inspirational story! Check it out!

1) What type of marketing/promotion did you do for your dance studio before getting involved in social media?

Prior to getting involved in social media, marketing for my studios ranged from hand made or computer generated flyers to newspaper ads, radio ads and television ads.

2) What social media outlets are you currently using to promote your dance studio? (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc.)

RFW uses Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, You News and multiple local news blogs and online community resources.

3) What’s been the biggest change at your dance studio since getting involved in social media marketing?
Since getting involved in social media marketing, the single biggest change at my dance studio is the TIME I save!  Just saying “join our facebook page” means that everyone is on the “same page” regarding studio updates, information and developments.

4) Why do you think social media is a great way to promote and market your dance studio?

Last season I spent the most money EVER on advertising.  TV, radio, etc.  When new students registered, I asked them where they heard about us.  About 1 in 3 said FACEBOOK!  Social media gives me the opportunity to show the studios in so many different lights and angles.  I can hit on some aspect of our studio each day in a new and positive way.  Photos, videos, parent “brags”… quick, effective and FREE!

5) Did you originally have doubts about getting involved in social media for your dance studio? Why? How did you overcome that initial hesitation?

I really did not have any hesitations.  One of the reasons Rhonda’s FooteWorks is still around and growing is because I am quite open to trying new things and am willing to let the studio constantly evolve…RFW is kind of a living, breathing, being!
