I would be more interested in number of classes taught per week than per day.

Thanks for the wage stats. The hourly rate is good, but how much do they make per year? If they only teach 10 hours a week at $50/hr, that’s $500/wk times 50 weeks, it’s only $25,000/yr. Are those rates before or after taxes, by the way?

It definitely varies based on the amount of classes one teaches per/wk. Maybe in this year’s report, we’ll include the percentage of dance studios that treat their teachers as employees vs independent contractors. Of course, as you know, independent contractors pay their own taxes. While employees have their taxes withdrawn from their payroll check automatically. Thanks for such good questions Linda!
